Phil Cornforth
A long history in electronics, telecommunications, innovation and business development.
Firstly, designing rf circuits for military ECCM radios, ASICs for radio subsystems, system designs for mobile systems starting with analogue TACs, then GSM digital. Then switching to the operator side in leading designs and supplier interface for base station systems. This evolved into business development including many innovative designs for emerging technologies, AR, VR, MR, AI/ML and robotics.

Derek Cornforth
Derek Cornforth comes from a long line involved in the railways. He joined LNER in 1941 initially as a messenger but then as a signalman. He succeeded his father Wilson as Darlington branch secretary of the NUR and later Secretary of the Eastern Regional Council. In 1976 he was awarded a BEM for his contribution to the railway industry. Apart from this, he had a strong passion for electronics and radio, which he managed to pass on to (at least one) of his children.
He built many radio projects at home, using valves, high voltage transformers etc., built on baking tins, wires hanging out, a bit rough and ready, but always done with a passion to understand and learn.
